VNYL is built by OFFSEASONING, INC (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the VNYL macOS application and visit our website at offseason.ing/vnyl.
Information We Do Not Collect
VNYL is designed with privacy at its core. The app runs entirely on your Mac and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We do not track what music you listen to, and we do not have access to your Apple Music or Spotify account credentials.
Music Data
VNYL reads “now playing” information (track title, artist, album artwork) from your system’s media APIs to display the spinning vinyl in your dock. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Website Analytics
Our website uses Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, referrers, country) to help us understand how visitors interact with our site. No cookies are used and no personally identifiable information is collected.
Email Collection
If you sign up for early access on our website, we collect your email address solely to notify you when VNYL launches. We will not share your email with third parties or use it for any other purpose. You can request removal at any time by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
VNYL integrates with Apple Music and Spotify solely by reading publicly available “now playing” data from your system. We do not authenticate with these services on your behalf or access your accounts.
