Use of the App

VNYL is a macOS application that displays a spinning vinyl record in your dock based on the music currently playing on your Mac. You may use VNYL in accordance with these Terms and with Apple’s license terms below. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

Mac App Store

VNYL is distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store. Your purchase and use of VNYL is also subject to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Purchases and Refunds

VNYL is free to download. Some features are unlocked by an optional in-app purchase. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, and there is nothing to cancel or renew.

Purchases are processed by Apple and are tied to the Apple Account used to make them. You can restore a previous purchase on the same Apple Account from within the app.

Because Apple handles payment, refunds are requested from Apple rather than from us, through Apple’s refund process. We are not able to issue refunds directly.

Availability and Changes to VNYL

VNYL may change over time. We may add, modify, or remove features, including features associated with a purchase tier, and we may stop offering or supporting VNYL. We will not remove a paid feature purely to sell it back to you, but we cannot guarantee that any particular feature will remain available indefinitely.

Intellectual Property

VNYL and all related content, including but not limited to the app design, code, graphics, and branding, are the intellectual property of OFFSEASONING, LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the application.

Third-Party Services

VNYL reads “now playing” information from Apple Music and Spotify via your system’s media APIs. We are not affiliated with Apple Music or Spotify, and your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and conditions.

Disclaimer of Warranties

VNYL is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all system configurations.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OFFSEASONING, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of VNYL.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use VNYL and this website.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer-protection right you have under the laws of the country where you live.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of VNYL after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
